Sand and Sentences
Riley Moore is a writer. Her life isn’t interesting other than when her three younger siblings wreak havoc on her property. So when her parents announce that they’re going to Holden Beach suddenly it’s definitely a surprise.
When they get to the beach house they rented, it’s just like any other vacation they’ve taken: she finds a quiet place to write and relax by herself. She thinks this is how her next month will be, and quite frankly she’s looking forward to it.
Then she gets a surprise the next day: there are people in the house next to her. Of course, her parents want to go make friends with their new neighbors, but Riley manages to escape to a secluded part of the beach before they can drag her along with them. While she’s writing, a guy her age comes and sits next to her. She’s surprised at first, but then he starts to talk about his own writing and Riley gets to know Noah. When the sun sets, they both make their way back to their temporary homes and they’re both taken back when they find out they’re neighbors.
During the next month, who knows what will happen.
